Helping Kids with their Mental Health & Physical Fitness

Helping Kids with their Mental Health & Physical Fitness

Wow, 2020. Hasn’t it been quite the year!

We’ve seen utter devastation and loss due to this Pandemic. Loss of lives and peoples’ livelihoods.

This year we’ve also seen how resilient our little people are. Our children (and parents and teachers… and basically everyone else on earth) have had their lives turned up-side-down.

Our children have experienced home learning, not being able to play in play grounds, not being able to attend weekend sport or their favourite dance class or music lesson.

And so much more!

We’ve missed out on family reunions, weddings, funerals, birthday parties, graduations, assemblies, performances and more.

We’ve been restricted to limited time outdoors, permitted for limited exercise only.

During lock down, and now as we emerge out of it all, one thing has become very clear; mental health and physical health are important!

And, it’s crucial that we do everything we can to ensure our kids keep active, happy and healthy.

Thankfully, many sporting activities and extra-curricular activities are returning.

If you’re in Sydney, the team of instructors and World Champions at VT1 Martial Arts have been doing their bit to ensure their students’ physical and mental health is in tip top shape.

The team have spent many years mastering their craft and have a passion for passing it on to their students.

They offer trial passes for kids to check out what it’s all about and to see the friendly, welcoming environment for themselves.

Their programs are easy to follow, progressive and teach effective self-defence skills. No experience or fitness is necessary to get started.

Some of the many advantages of Martial Arts include:

  • Improved health
  • Fitness
  • Self Defence
  • Confidence
  • Coordination
  • Increased development e.g. social skills & emotional stability
  • Fast reaction times
  • Desire to succeed
  • Satisfaction
  • Empowerment
  • Respect & discipline
  • Problem solving

Whether you want to get in great shape, learn self-defence or train to become an athlete, the team at VT1 can help your children build the confidence needed to help them achieve their goals.

VT1 Martial arts offer children's leadership and competition programs, holiday camps for kids and more.

This post is in partnership with VT1 Martial Arts. As always, all opinions are my own.
