Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you?

By Lauren – Gold Coast Mum

“Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you?”
I grew up singing this catchy tune, and repeating the phrase over and over again whilst trying to sound like the famous Great Dane; the companion of amateur detective Shaggy.

And now, two and a bit decades later, my 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son also adore Scooby and the gang, and love checking them out during designated iPad or phone time.

Perhaps my prior ‘detective’ work and interest in investigative journalism could be linked to my passion for all things Daphne, Thelma, Shaggy and Fred during my childhood?
I always did love getting to the bottom of a town’s secrets ;-).

My 3yo has Scooby-Doo t-shirts which he proudly wears to kindy to show off to his friends.

And hubby introduced Miss 5 to the Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster roller coaster located at Warner Bros. Movie World (here in our home town of the Gold Coast, Australia
) a few months ago.
(The ride scared the life out of her, so we may have to wait another year or two before she’s ready to try it again).

There are few cartoons that stand the test of time. Scooby-Doo! really is one of those classics that our kids can enjoy just as we did.

While one of our favourite cartoons has stuck around, the way our kids watch cartoons is certainly not the same. Now, they can watch any episode they want, at any time.

The WBKids YouTube channel makes it easy for kids to watch their favourite mystery squad, on-demand, and from any device.

The extended online experience at ScoobyDoo.com where kids can play games, download free, printable activities and more is also a hit with my little ones.

Scooby-Doo! is giving away $100 for Amazon, which makes it a great time to check it all out.

Who's your favourite Scooby-Doo! character and why?
I loved Daphne and Thelma. Because... girl power!
