What's cookin' good lookin'? How to ditch the dinner/dishes duties tonight...

Have you had a super busy day doing the grocery shopping with toddlers in tow, or been busy pinning uber creative gourmet meals on Pinterest but have just realised you don't have the ingredients? Aargh!

Or, have you and/or your other half been too busy enjoying the GC 600 action today to worry about dinner til now?

Well, if you’re stuck on what to have for dinner tonight, I have the perfect solution thanks to my new friends at Menulog - an Australian online restaurant take-out ordering and food delivery service.

My family and I were recently lucky enough to try out this wonderful service, with Menulog providing a voucher for me to use via their website.
I was thrilled at the chance to avoid the dinner and dishes duties! Hooray!

OK, so how does it work?
Well, thankfully,
the process is very straightforward (particularly awesome if your belly is rumbling after making sure the kids have had dinner, bath and bed routine sorted).

There are more than 4200 restaurants listed on the Menulog website with thousands of specials and restaurant reviews.
Upon entering my postcode, the simple-to-use website offered a variety of options.

Or, if you’re on the Gold Coast, click on this link >
http://www.menulog.com.au/browse/gold-coast <  to see there are
135 restaurants offering 543 specials.

For our first time using Menulog (yes we have used it a couple of times now lol), w
e enjoyed a lovely meal from Mamma Mia's Italian Restaurant in Ashmore (chicken risotto and sweet chilli prawns).

We’ve since enjoyed fish, chips and a battered sav from Big Fella’s Fish & Chips in Merrimac, a curry from Tandoori Place (Surfers Paradise – Laycock St) and a pad Thai and stir fry from Noodle Box Southport.

Upon confirming our order, we were impressed at receiving a confirmation text message within minutes which also indicated an estimated delivery time for our order.(On one occasion the restaurant’s wait time for delivery was 1.5 hours as they were super busy, so hubby drove to pick up the order instead, which we were fine with).
On each occasion, the meals were divine, ensuring that we’ll continue to be repeat customers. ;-)
How to order takeaway online with Menulog:

You’ll see your order/s and total update on the right.

* Once you’re happy you can then proceed with your order by clicking “place your order”.
